Description
Brake Pipe Flaring Tool, suitable for Soft Copper, Cupro Nickel and Steel Brake Pipes. (SAE Flares Only)
Contains: 4.75mm, 3/16", 1/4", 5/16" & 3/8" punch and die sets.
The tool can either be mounted in a conventional bench-vice or on its own purpose-built base plate.
Brake tubing is held in split dies which are secured by an over-head locking screw, mounted on a swing clamp.
The mandrill is then positioned in its retainer and advanced into the flaring position by manual operation of the cam lever.
Additional punch and die sets may be required. eg 6mm pipe requires BPF9, 8mm pipe requires BPF10.
Sae is commonly known as a double flare.
DIN is a single flare.
